Is the voltage between 4.7 and 5.1 volts?
B3 CHECK CIRCUIT 3058 (LG/RD) FOR AN OPEN
Ignition OFF.
Disconnect: EATC Module C228b.
Measure the resistance between EATC module C228b-19, circuit 3058 (LG/RD) and in-
vehicle temperature sensor C233-1, circuit 3058 (LG/RD).
Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
Yes
GO to
B4
.
No
REPAIR circuit 3058 (LG/RD) for an open. CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the self-
test. TEST the system for normal operation.
B4 CHECK CIRCUIT 3059 (YE/LG) FOR AN OPEN
Measure the resistance between EATC module C228b-16, circuit 3059 (YE/LG) and in-
vehicle temperature sensor C233-2, circuit 3059 (YE/LG).
Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
Yes
GO to
B7
.
No
REPAIR circuit 3059 (YE/LG) for an open. CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the self-
test. TEST the system for normal operation.
B5 CHECK CIRCUIT 3058 (LG/RD) FOR A SHORT TO CIRCUIT 3059 (YE/LG)
Ignition OFF.
Disconnect: EATC Module C228b.
Measure the resistance between in-vehicle temperature sensor C233-1, circuit 3058
(LG/RD) and C233-2, circuit 3059 (YE/LG).
Is the resistance greater than 10,000 ohms?
Yes
GO to
B6
.
No
REPAIR circuit 3058 (LG/RD) for a short to circuit 3059 (YE/LG). CLEAR the
DTCs. REPEAT the self-test. TEST the system for normal operation.
B6 CHECK CIRCUIT 3058 (LG/RD) FOR A SHORT TO GROUND
Measure the resistance between EATC module C228b-19, circuit 3058 (LG/RD) and
ground.
Is the resistance greater than 10,000 ohms?
Yes
GO to
B7
.
No
REPAIR circuit 3058 (LG/RD) for a short to ground. CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT
the self-test. TEST the system for normal operation.
