STEP 30

TOOLS: 7/16” WRENCHES

NOTE:

This step will be

easiest if someone assists

you.

CAREFULLY

, pivot the lid

open towards the drivers side

until the Hinges on the drivers

side of the box align [Figure

43].
Using one (1) 3.5in x 1/4in

Bolt

[

AAA

]

and one (1) 1/4in

x 20 Nylock Nut

[

BBB

]

each hinge, secure the hinges

together [Figure 42].
Once the hinges are secured, close the lid.

NOTE:

This step will be easiest if someone assists you.

Carefully, lower and close the lid.

Join two (2) AerFoil Bands [

CCC

] together with one (1) Band Spring [

DDD

] at the ends with the

smallest holes. [Figure 46] Repeat for the remaining two (2) AerFoil Bands and Spring.
Lay the Band/Spring assembly over the AerFoil Cover [

] by bending the assembly around the top

edge of the Aerfoil Cover with the padded side of the Bands placed against the Cover as shown.
Attached the Band/Spring assembly by starting at removing one (1) Joint Connector Bolt [

] from

one corner of the Aerfoil Cover and then re-thread the Bolt through the larger hole at the end of the

AerFoil Band [

CCC

] and then into the carrier cover [Figure 44 & 45]. Repeat this step for the other

side of the carrier with the remaining Band/Spring assembly.

IMPORTANT:

Remove and reattach each bolt

ONE AT A TIME

before moving to the next bolt.
