SERVICE INSPEKTION PROCEDURE MTU 108
1. Cleanliness of the optics:
All glass surfaces must be free of
deposits and of unacceptable
impurities.
2. Stop in phototube:
The stop must be clean and well
cementes into position. Be careful
not to damage it when you are
assembling or disassembling the
phototube.
3. Interpupillary distance adjustment:
The adjustment within the range from
52mm to 76mm must be jolt-free and
smooth at a torque of 8-13N.
4. Iris diaphragm:
The double-iris diaphram must be
smoothly adjustable wit h in the
ran e from 14-15mm diameter (maximum)
to 2 .5-4mm diameter (minimum). At the
smallest aperture, the difference in
diameter is not to exceed 0.5mm.
5. Changeover Vis.- Photo:
The changeover must be uniform
and the engagement perceptible.
6. Dark slide:
In the "closed" position the right
beam path must be dark.
7. Image height (axial po sition)
Inspection of image height. Maximum
permitted deviation between left and
right tubes:
0.lmm (1 drum interval).
Maximum permitted image height
difference between phototube and
right eyepiece tube: 0.lmm.
8. Binocular adjustment:
The luminous crosses of the two tubes
must lie within the small rectangle.
The height difference between the left
and the right tube is not to exceed
half the height of the small rectangle.
This is valid
for the whole of the
adjustment range and also for the
positions Vis. and Phot.
