Glossary of Terms
Demand Response
-
Energy codes and energy companies have growing requirements to reduce your power consumption
during high-energy usage. The Room Controller meets these energy requirements by accepting a contact
input from the power company to impose a maximum output per zone.
LightsOut -
LightsOut is the period of time when lights should be at the LightsOut preset (typically, Off) unless there
is user intervention. Before activation of the LightsOut preset, lights will flash three times to warn
occupants of the upcoming change. After a delay the LightsOut preset will be activated. During this
delay, any button press at any station will further delay the activation of the LightsOut preset. Once the
LightsOut preset is in effect, light levels may be changed by a user. After 15 minutes of no inactivity, the
LightsOut sequence will start again.
Occupancy Mode
–
Automatically turn lights ON when the occupancy sensor input detects the presence of a person and will
automatically turn lights OFF when no presence is detected for a specified amount of time.
Vacancy Mode
–
Lights must be turned on manually by someone entering a room or area. The system will then
automatically turn lights OFF when no presence is detected on the occupancy sensor input for a
specified amount of time.
