GENERAL TROUBLESHOOTING
■ To adjust the gap between the flywheel and the ignition coil, first insert a feeler gauge of 0.014 in.
(0.35mm) between the flywheel and the ignition coil, then rotate the flywheel and align the magnetic
pole of the flywheel with the ignition coil. Press down the ignition coil flush against the feeler gauge.
Tighten the screws to fix the ignition coil. Rotate the flywheel counter-clockwise to remove the feeler
gauge. Recheck to ensure the gap is 0.012-0.015 in. (0.30-0.40 mm) (Fig. 17).

Clutch Replacement
(See Fig. 20)
■ Remove the connection cover, clutch cover assembly and clutch refer to steps 6 - 8 in Ignition
System section. Do not remove the clutch washer.
■ Apply the thread-locking glue for 3-5 screw threads (Fig. 20).
■ Replace with a new clutch by turning it clockwise.
