OPERATION
Do not allow familiarity with products to make you careless. Remember that a careless fraction of
a second is sufficient to inflict serious injury.
Always wear eye protection with side shields, along with head protection. Failure to do so could
result in objects being thrown into your eyes and other possible serious injuries.
Do not use any attachments or accessories not recommended by the manufacturer or retailer
of this product. The use of attachments or accessories not recommended can result in serious
personal injury. Before each use, inspect the entire product for damaged, missing, or loose parts
such as screws, nuts, bolts, caps, etc. Tighten securely all fasteners and caps and do not operate
this product until all missing or damaged parts are replaced.

• For brush cutter: The cutter blade should be at the height of around 20cm above the ground
(Fig. 29).
■ Tighten the screw until the machine is in the floating position.
Starting and Stopping the Brush Cutter
(See Figs. 30-35)
NOTE:
Make sure that the blade cover is removed before starting the brush cutter.
For cold start (
):
■ Make sure that the battery pack is securely in place.
■ Place the product outdoors on a leveled surface. To reduce the risk of accidents, check that the
cutting attachment is not touching the ground or any other obstacles.
NOTE
: Make sure you have good balance and secure footing. Hold the unit securely. The cutting
attachment must be clear of the ground and all other obstructions. It will run when the throttle is
engaged during the engine starting procedure.
■ Press the primer bulb 5 times.
■ Turn the choke lever to the CHOKE (
) position (Fig. 30).
■ Flip the on/off switch to the “I” ON position (Fig. 31).
■ Lift the start button cover and press the start button until the engine starts. Then immediately
engage the throttle safety and the throttle lever to start the cutter (Fig. 32 - 34). The choke lever
will automatically switch to RUN (
) position.
■ If the choke lever is left on choke, the brush cutter will stop running in 3-5 seconds.
NOTE:
If the engine does not start, repeat step 5 until the engine starts.
