4-4-6. Setting the Alarm Reset Mode
The MODE switch 8 (alarm mode switch) setting is used to switch between the automatic reset mode for
automatically resetting the alarm or the hold mode for holding the alarm until the power is turned on again.
Automatic reset mode
The alarm signal is output for approximately 400 ms. The alarm is automatically reset after approximately
400 ms if the cause of the alarm is cleared within this time. If the cause of the alarm is not cleared within
approximately 400 ms, it will be reset once the cause of the alarm has been cleared.
This mode is the default setting.
Hold mode
When the scale is in alarm status, the alarm status continues to be held even after the element causing the
alarm is removed. The alarm is reset when the power is turned off and then on again if the cause of the alarm
has been cleared.

The A/B signal is high impedance during the alarm status.
4-5. Scale Signal Output
4-5-1. A/B and Z Signal Output Specifications
•
The output specifications are compliant with EIA-422.
•
A/B signal minimum phase difference t: 38 ns
Fig. 4-5
•
An error of about 38 ns is generated due to the synchronization of the A/B signal by the
26.3 MHz internal clock.
•
The minimum phase error can vary depending on the length of the output cable, cable capacity, receiver
load, and other factors.
