Installing the PHM onto the Motherboard
1.
L
ocate the “trap door” cover.
Unscrew the four (4) screws and lift
up the “trap door” cover.
2.
Remove the socket cover from the
socket contacts of the motherboard
by grasping the tabs on either side.
Squeeze inward
Note:
Inspect the surface of the socket
under sufficient lighting to ensure there
is no contamination or damage prior to
the PHM installation.
3.
Set each anti-tilt wire to inward or
unlocked position on the heatsink.
4.
Lift up the PHM. Turn the PHM over
to locate the
PIN1
corner on
processor carrier and processor.
