Canceling a Memory Transmission

Canceling a Memory Transmission

You can cancel the mode using the same
procedure in the following cases:
• Fax Destination, Internet Fax Des-

tination, and IP-Fax Destination
are specified simultaneously.

• Only either Internet Fax Destination

or IP-Fax Destination is specified.

Before the Original Is Scanned

Use this procedure to cancel a trans-
mission before pressing the

Start

}

key.

Press the

Clear Modes

}

key.

Note

When originals are placed into the
ADF, you can cancel transmis-
sion simply by removing them.

While the Original Is Being
Scanned

Use this procedure to cancel a trans-
mission after pressing the

key.

Clear/Stop

key.

The machine stops scanning.

Note

You can also cancel scanning by

Scanning may be completed while
you are performing the cancel
operation.

While the Original Is Being
Transmitted

If the transmission finishes while
you are carrying out this proce-
dure, it will not be canceled.

If you cancel a document while it is
being sent, the transmission is halt-
ed as soon as you finish the cancel-
lation procedure. However, some
pages of the document may al-
ready have been sent and received
at the other end.
