Collision Control for the Near-Field Probe

18.3

The  collision  control  has  to  be  activated  in  the  ChipScan-Scanner  software  by  ticking  the
"Depth Test" checkbox.

The  probe  moves  up  with  the  magnetic  holder  if  the  probe  touches  an  obstacle  when  moving
down. The scanner recognises this displacement and stops the movement.

The  ChipScan-Scanner  software  uses  this  mechanism  to  carry  out  the  "Volume  with  vertical
collision  detection"  motion  strategy.  Please  refer  to  section 5.1.3  of  the  ChipScan-Scanner
software user manual for further information.
