3-1 FRAME ASSEMBLY - RIGID MODELS
WARNING
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO LIFT HEAVY
PARTS (SUCH AS THE FRAME, COUL-
TER GANGS, AND PULL HITCH) MANU-
ALLY. USE A HOIST OR A FORK LIFT
TO MOVE THESE PARTS INTO POSI-
TION.
3-1.1 Bolt together loosely using 5/8-11 x 2" hex
head cap screws and hex lock nuts (See
Figure 3-1) .
3-1.2 Install slow moving vehicle mounting angle
at top rear hole of frame halves (See Figure
3-1) . Install SMV socket using hardware pro-
vided.
3-1.3 Block frame assembly up approximately
36" high in an open level area.
3-1.4 Install center shank mount with u-bolts and
5/8-11 hex lock nuts between frame halves.
(See Figure 3-1) (Refer to Figures 2-1
through 2-6 for location) . Tighten joining
bolts and u-bolts to recommended torque
making sure center shank mount is square
with frame.
3-1.5 Mark tool assembly center lines on frame.
(See Figures 2-1 through 2-6).
