Storage Stand Operation
Refer to Figure 4-17:

CAUTION!
1.
Lower auger tip to the ground at the location you plan
to disconnect the Post Hole Digger from the tractor.
Set tractor park brakes, turn tractor engine off, and
remove ignition key before dismounting tractor.
Always chock tractor wheels for an extra measure of
safety if you stop on a gentle slope.
2.
Attach storage stand (#7) to cradle (#8). Make
certain guide slots (#1) at end of storage stand are
securely positioned over cradle pins (#3).
3.
Secure stand to cradle with clamping knobs (#2).
4.
Disconnect hydraulic hoses and wrap them around
the boom to keep fittings out of the dirt.
5.
Unhook boom from tractor’s top 3-point center link
hitch holes.
6.
Without starting the tractor, lower yoke hitch pins into
support angles as follows:
a. Loosen clamping knobs (#4) and adjust angle
brackets (#5) to align with yoke hitch pins (#6).
b. Tighten clamping knobs (#4).
c. Lowering 3-point arms until yoke hitch pins (#6)
are supported by angle brackets (#5).
7.
Remove lower 3-point arms from yoke hitch pins.
8.
Once post hole digger is disconnected and tractor’s
3-point arms are clear of the digger, drive tractor
away being careful not to catch on the Post Hole
Digger and Storage Stand.
NOTE:
There may be some lowering and lifting of
the lower 3-point arms to properly position the yoke
in the storage brackets. Also, the storage brackets
may need to be raised, lowered, or flipped around to
properly align with yoke frame.
