Steam dispensing
Plunge the steam jet pipe (

) into the liquid to be heated in a
suitable container and turn the steam adjustment knob (

).
When the liquid is hot, stop the
À
ow of steam by turning
knob (

) the other way (towards “0”).
Heating milk for frothy coffee (cappuccino)
Use a tall narrow jug and
¿
ll it up to about the half-way mark.
Then plunge the steam jet pipe (
3
) into the milk.
Gradually open up the steam tap (
4
) and heat the milk for
a few seconds.
14. Checking water level in reservoir
When the yellow indicator light (

) lights up,
¿
ll the reservoir
up to the maximum level.
If this operation is delayed, the safety device is activated
and the coffee preparation procedure suspended.
15. Checking water level in the boiler
The machine is
¿
tted with a series of automatic level control
devices to keep the water in the boiler at a pre-set level.
The indicator light (

) comes on when water enters the
boiler.
16. Checking water level in the basin
Periodically empty the tray of water.
Scalding hazard!
Use the appropriate
insulating devices to move the water and
steam wands.
Cleaning of steam dispensing pipes
At the conclusion of each steam dispensing
phase:
- Using a clean sponge, wash with hot water
removing any organic residue present. Rinse
carefully.
- clean the inside of the steam nozzle as
follows:
Turn the nozzle towards the cup tray and
carefully activate steam dispensing at least
once.
When the required amount of froth has been made and the
temperature is suf

ciently high, stop the
À
ow of steam by
turning knob (

) the other way (towards “0”).
When the steam jet pipe (
3
) is no longer required, clean it
thoroughly with a sponge and a clean cloth.
Dispensing hot water
Position a container under the hot water pipe (

) and turn
the hot water dispensing knob (

).
When the required amount has been dispensed, stop
the

ow of hot waterby turning knob (
14
) the other way
(towards “0”).
