n order to allow for any condensed water
in the wand to be released

some steam to be discharged by turning on
the al e before inserting the steam wand
into the pitcher of li uid to be heated.

nob gradually until steam comes out at the
end of the wand.
The steam will transfer heat to the li uid
raising its temperature up to boiling point.
e careful not to allow li uid to o erflow in

n order to pre ent the heated li uid
from being suc ed bac into the steam
boiler it is recommended before using
the wand that you purge the steam al e
and steam wand by opening the al e for
a few seconds to allow steam to escape
to the atmosphere from the end of the
steam wand. ailure to do so can cause
the heated li uid to transfer from the
heated li uid container to the steam boiler
ia acuum created from cooling parts .
This condition is undesireable and can
cause contamination in the steam boiler.
fter use remember to purge the wand by
opening the steam al e for a few seconds
and then clean the outside of the wand
itself with an appropriate cloth.
n order to prepare mil for ma ing
cappuccino with the right amount of foam
go through the following steps
fter purging the steam wand place the
container half full of mil underneath
carefully open the steam al e and raise
the container so as to bring the wand end
to a point ust below the surface of the
mil at this point mo e the container
up and down ust enough to dip the
no le end in and out of the mil until
you get the right amount of foam bring
