Description
Path Loss
Terminal Node Name
Node Name of the Terminal in the network. This page only shows logged
in Terminals.
Clear Sky Uplink
This is the predicted clear sky uplink loss based on uplink and downlink
frequencies, the Satellite location and the Terminal location.
Computed Uplink
The Modem computes this loss based on feedback reports (AROWs) from
the network Terminals.
Clear Sky Downlink
This is the predicted clear sky downlink loss based on uplink and downlink
frequencies, the Satellite location and the Terminal location.
Computed Downlink
The Modem computes this loss based on feedback reports (AROWs) from
the network Terminals.
Clear Sky Variance Thresholds
Above Clear Sky (Fade)
This provides a warning (yellow background) to you when the computed
loss is greater than the clear sky loss by the number entered
– this
normally indicates a severe fade condition.
Below Clear Sky
This provides a warning (yellow background) to you when the computed
loss is less than the clear sky loss by the number entered
– this normally
indicates a Terminal setup parameter problem.
