(3) Registration
Registering the information identifying your facsim-
ile (location info. setting)
Register information identifying your station (fax number,
station name and station ID).
1. Select [Program Fax Parameter].
Registering your fax number
1. Select [ ] key and press the enter key.
2. Enter your fax number using the numeric keys.
The fax number can be up to 20 digits in length.
3. Press the enter key.
Registering your station name
1. Select [Own Name] and press the enter key.
2. Enter the desired name for your station.
The station name can be up to 32 characters.
Registering your station ID
1. Select [Own ID] and press the enter key.
2. Enter the desired station ID (4 digits) using the
numeric keys.
3. Press the enter key.
Setting the current date and time
Set the date and the time that will appear in the message
display.
1. Select [Date & Time (Date and Time)] and press the
enter key.
2. Enter the present date, in order of the month, day
and year (day, month and year) using the numeric
keys.
Select [Time] and then enter the present time using
the numeric keys.
3. Press the enter key.
Registering new one-touch keys
Register destination fax (telephone) numbers and names
under one-touch keys.
1. Select [Program 1-Touch Key (Program One-Touch
Key)] and press the enter key.
2. Press an unregistered speed-dial key.
3. Enter the fax number to register under that one-
touch key using the numeric keys. (Maximum 32
digits)
4. Press the enter key.
5. Select the desired transmission speed from among
those available: 33600bps, 14400bps and
9600bps.
6. Press the enter key.
Registering New Abbreviated Numbers
Register a fax number under a 3-digit abbreviated num-
ber in advance.
1. Select [Program Abbreviated Dial] and press the
enter key.
2. Enter the 3 digits (000 to 199) that corresponds to
the desired abbreviated number.
3. Press the enter key.
4. Enter the fax number to register under that one-
touch key using the numeric keys. (Maximum 32
digits)
5. Press the enter key.
6. Select the desired transmission speed from among
those available: 33600bps, 14400bps and
9600bps.
7. Press the enter key.
Registering new chain dial keys
Register chain numbers and names under one-touch
keys.
1. Select [Program Chain Dial.] and press the enter
key.
2. Press an unregistered speed-dial key.
3. Enter the desired chain dial number using the
numeric keys. (Maximum 32 digits)
4. Press the enter key.
5. Enter the desired name for the chain dial key. (Max-
imum 20 characters)
6. Press the enter key.
Changing the remote switching number
Change the remote switching number, which is set to 55
at the factory, for receiving faxes using the telephone
connected to the machine.
1. Select [Program Fax Parameter] and press the
enter key.
2. Select [Remote Switch] and press the enter key.
3. Enter the new Remote Switching Number using the
numeric keys (2 digits).
4. Press the enter key.
Registering new subaddress confidential boxes
Register subaddress confidential boxes for subaddress-
based confidential communication. Up to 100 boxes can
be registered.
1. Select [Program Subadd.Confi.Box (Subaddress
Box Register)] and press the enter key.
2. Select [Program Subad Confi.Box (Subad. Confid.
Registry)] and press the enter key.
3. Press an unregistered key.
4. Enter the subaddress 4-digit using the numeric
keys.
5. Press the enter key.
6. Enter the 4-digit F-Code password.
7. Press the enter key.
