Xciting 500i & 500RI models:

Remove the rubber sleeve

by removing the clip

Xciting 500i & 500RI models:

Remove the oil filter cartridge

with a filter wrench, and allow any residual oil to drain out.

Discard the oil filter cartridge.

Xciting 500i & 500RI models:

Apply a thin coat of fresh en-

gine oil to the new oil filter cartridge’s rubber seal

Xciting 500i & 500RI models:

Using the KYMCO special

tool and a torque wrench, install the new oil filter cartridge and

tighten it to the specified torque.

Oil filter cartridge torque:

8 lb-ft (12 N-m)

Only use a genuine KYMCO genuine oil filter cartridge,

or a filter cartridge of equivalent quality, on your scooter.

Using the wrong KYMCO filter cartridge, or a non-

KYMCO filter cartridge which is not of equivalent qual-

ity, may cause engine damage.
