LUBRICATION
BEFORE CARRYING OUT ANY OPERATION SUCH AS MAINTENANCE OR ADJUSTMENT
ON THE MACHINE, STOP THE TRACTOR ENGINE, REMOVE IGNITION KEY AND WAIT
FOR THE ROTOR TO STOP BEFORE LEAVING THE TRACTOR.
Grease the following with SHELL Multi -Purpose grease NLGI grade 2 :
- Every 8 hours : PTO yoke bearings and telescopic drive tubes.
- Every 50 hours : rotor gearbox (1 grease zerk N), tine arm bushings (grease zerks M) (photo 30) and wheel axle
grease zerks (2 grease zerks L - photo 31).
Note : - The central cam controlling tine arm movement is greased for life with SHELL Multi -Purpose grease NLGI
grade 2.
- The drive gearbox (E) (photo 30) is greased for life with SHELL ALVANIA WRO grease (Quantity : 1,2
kg).
Regularly clean and apply a “Never-Seize” compound to the removable portion of the tine arms (A)
(photo 8, page 13) to ensure easy removal.
When necessary, oil all other machine pivots with an SAE 30 or heavier SHELL oil (locks, parking stand etc ...).
TO ENSURE TROUBLE FREE OPERATION OF YOUR MACHINE
WE RECOMMEND SHELL LUBRICANTS.
