Safety instructions
2 Safety instructions
This manual is valid exclusively for the Kroll
BKM120. It has to be read by the persons in
charge of installation, commissioning or main-
tenance before starting their work. The specifi
-
cations given in the manual must be observed.
Non-observation leads to expiration of warranty
against the company Kroll GmbH.
All safety instructions contained in the manual
must be observed.
Warning
In some passages of this BKM120 manual,
there are references to the manual of the
permanently condensing boiler BK100. Here,
only the indicated passages of this manual are
valid.
Note
The following safety instructions must be obser-
ved:
• Only suitably qualified and trained staff is
allowed to do the installation, commissio-
ning and maintenance of the hot-water unit
BKM120.
•
Only electric professionals are allowed to
work at electric elements (e.g. control).
•
For electric installations, the regulations
of the VDE and of the local energy supply
company (EVU) are decisive.
•
Never bridge, take off or take out of opera-
tion safety devices.
•
The BKM120 must only be operated when it
is in a technically proper condition.
•
Faults or damages that could or do alloy the
safety must be repaired immediately and
professionally.
•
Damaged elements and unit components
must only be replaced by original Kroll
spare parts.
Always observe the regulations, warnings of the
local safety regulations during loading, transport
to or from site, as well as during storage.
•
Risk of injury! Unloading/transport by hand
is not permitted at a weight of >35 kg (IAA,
Geneva) respectively at a single lifting of
max. >55 kg (UVV/BMA).
•
For your own safety, always use suitable
lifting devices and/or industrial trucks and
lifting devices with suitable lifting capacity.
Before lifting/unloading and for safe putting
on the ground of the BKM120, always make
sure that there is enough space.
•
Fix the load handling device carefully and
secure them. No danger must be created by
the hovering load!
•
Always lift the BKM120 vertically, never pull
it slopingly!
Never stay under hovering loads. Danger to
life!
Warning
The BKM120 must be handled with the usual
care during unloading, transport to site and an
eventual interim storage. It must also be protec-
ted against undue force and/or falling objects.
The manual must be placed well visible position
inside the BKM120.
