Control settings
•
Use the rotary knob to set "Select function"
and confirm.
• Select "Heating circuit 1" and confirm.
•
Push the left, central quick-select button
twice.
•
Set the operation mode to "Manual heating
mode" and confirm with "Save".
• Choose the desired secondary flow tempe
-
rature and confirm with "Save".
6.3 Standby mode
As indicated in the chapter "Decommissioning",
the standby mode should always be preferred to
a complete shutdown of the boiler. This operation
mode makes sure that the boiler is held on mini-
mum temperature in order to prevent the flue gas
from condensing within the boiler.
Setting
•
Push the ESC button several times until the
"ESC" text expires.
•
Use the rotary knob to set "Select function"
and confirm.
• Select "Heating circuit 1" and confirm.
•
Push the left, central quick-select button
twice.
•
Set the operation mode to "Standby mode"
and confirm with "Save".
6.4 Boiler temperature
Normally, the boiler temperature is controlled
automatically, depending on the secondary
settings and the outside temperature. In special
cases, it may be necessary to set a fix boiler
temperature. This is for example the case when
the return temperature of the secondary side
is particularly low (<20 °C). In this situation, the
boiler must be set to a manual mode with a high
temperature. This ensures a kind of buffer effect
in the energy content of the heat transfer liquid.
Otherwise, undesired operation faults of the con-
trol may occur (pulsing control, long controlling
time).
Setting
•
Push the ESC button several times until the
"ESC" text expires.
•
Use the rotary knob to set "Settings MB"
and confirm.
• Select "Enter password" and confirm.
• Enter the password "234" and confirm.
6 Control settings
Generally consider the operating manual of the
master control.
Note
Mostly, settings are only done at the secondary
side. These settings are indicated in the manual
of the control (Conform 6.0 Master control) in the
chapters 2.1 and 5.1.
In the manual and in the display of the control,
the secondary circuit is called "Heating cir-
cuit 1".
Note
Basically, three operation modes are reasonable
for the BKM120:
•
Normal heating mode
•
Manual heating mode
•
Standby mode
6.1 Normal heating mode
In the "Normal heating mode", the flow tempera
-
ture of the secondary circuit is automatically con-
trolled with the help of the current outside tempe-
rature. This mode is especially suitable when the
heating system of a building is supposed to be
supplied automatically, just like with a normal, fix
installed heating boiler.
Setting
•
Push the ESC button several times until the
"ESC" text expires.
•
Use the rotary knob to set "Select function"
and confirm.
• Select "Heating circuit 1" and confirm.
•
Push the left, central quick-select button
twice.
•
Set the operation mode to "Normal heating
mode" and confirm with "Save".
6.2 Manual heating mode
"Manual heating mode" is always used when a
certain flow temperature shall be kept. In this
operation mode, the flow temperature is not cont
-
rolled via the outside temperature.
Setting
•
Push the ESC button several times until the
"ESC" text expires.
