6.6 The risers
KRILO has come up with another new and innovative fea-
ture with the Green b‘s risers. The Green b’s system of 3
risers differ in length in each size. In the XS and S sizes they are
47 cm, in the M 50 cm and in the L 53 cm in length. It can be as-
sumed that more light-weight pilots are smaller and heavier pilots
are larger. Of course arm lengths will vary.
Having perfect length risers means that handling when launching
is far less complicated and also that it is easier to reach the mal-
lions when flying. The sophisticated transformation ratio of the
pulley system is adjusted by the profile and combines a decrease
in the angle of attack with a reduction in curvature when accele-
rating via the speed bar.
For clarity the risers are labelled with different colours. The A-
risers are red, the B-risers are yellow and the C-risers
are blue. The brake lines run from the brake pulley. They are attached with a 6 cm long
seperator so that the pilot has more freedom when braking without negatively affecting the
C- risers. We are more than happy to supply you with brake handles in the appropriate
size for your hands. The standard brake handles for the Green b XS or S are smaller
than for the M and L sizes. The permanent setting of the brake handle position has to be
determined according to the size of the harness, pilot and individual preferences (see
chapter on adjustment options).
