(d) Operating sound
Standards Test procedure Tools
The movement sound shall
be 66dB or less.
There shall be no abnormal
or irregular noise. Measure the operating sound during up/down and
right/left movement.
The measurement position is at the center of the chin
rest column frame and 10cm front side from the
forehead positioner. Noise meter

Distance between chin rest
bottom and chin rest base
Upper end: 70 to 77mm
Lower end: 0 to 7mm
Move the chin rest to the upper and lower ends,
measure the distance between the chin rest bottom
and chin rest base and check that the results satisfy
the standards. Scale

Moving distance from right
end to left end:
31.5 to 38.5 mm
Moving distance from lower
end to upper end:
63 to 77mm
(When measuring from the right end to left end)
1. Using chin rest moving button Right, move the
chin rest to the right end.
2. Using chin rest moving button Left, move the
chin rest to the left end.
3. Measure the moving distance and check that the
results satisfy the standards.
4. Also measure the moving distance from the
lower end to upper end, repeating steps 1 to 3
above and check that the results satisfy the
standards.

(2) Lens frame and infrared LED
(a) Sensing

The sensing display on the
screen shall change in
relation to the movement of
the lens frame.
The infrared LED shall go
lit.
Check that the sensing display on the screen
changes in relation to the movement of the frame
(turning to red when vertical).
■ : When vertical □ : When put back ( ■ : Red, □ : Blue)
Check that the infrared LED under the dome goes lit
when the central lens frame is positioned vertical.
