Programming mode 6:
1. Switch on and prepare the transmitter (as shown
from 3.1 on). Throttle stick to the "motor off" (0%)
position.
2. Plug the ESC to the receiver (with the Master
cable)
. Connect the cable to the receiver’s port
(that is designated for throttle function). Then
switch on your transmitter.
3. Connect the motor cables to the motor.
4. Connect the main battery to the KOLIBRI.
5. LED flashes. You will hear an ascending triad of
sounds, monitoring the activation. Ongoing you
will hear single tones for the recognised number
of LiPo cells (see 4.1).
6. After hearing the cell count, push the button on
the KOLIBRI (on the shrinking tube versions you
can find the button on the back, near to the
sensor slot), then you will hear three descending
tones and the mode.
7. KOLIBRI starts monitoring the modes, for each
mode there is the equal number of beeps, the
LED flashes in correspondence with the beep
number.
8. After 6 single beeps mode 6 is reached, slide the
throttle channel to full throttle position (100%).
The ESC confirms first the throttle position with
an ascending triad of sounds, then the mode with
6 single beeps.

KOLIBRI confirms the throttle position with a
beep. Then slide the throttle in reverse position
(0 %), the KOLIBRI confirms with a rising triad of
sounds and in addition the mode with 6 single
beeps.
Before disconnecting the battery from the
ESC, it's essential to await the confirmation
(step 8), otherwise the KOLIBRI sees an
incomplete programming and will lock
preventing any potential issues by this and
will flash 9 times to indicate the mode
programming has not been accepted!
7.6 Mode 7 - Reverse rotation
If you want to change the direction of the Motor
rotation you can change two of the three motor
cables or you can use mode 7. If you activate mode
7 it’s not necessary to change the Motor cables.
Programming mode 7:
1. Switch on and prepare the transmitter (as shown
from chap. 3.1 on). Place the throttle stick in the
"motor off" (0%) position.
2. Plug the ESC to the receiver (BEC cable).
Connect the master
cable to the receiver’s jack
(that is designated for throttle function). Switch
on the receiver.
3. Connect the motor cables to the motor.
4. Connect the main battery to the KOLIBRI.

Mode-LED flashes green. You will hear an
ascending triad of sounds, monitoring the
activation. Ongoing you will hear single tones for
the recognized number of cells (see chap. 4.1).
6. Press the button on the ESC (see chap. 5), you
will hear a descending triad of sounds and the
Mode-LED flashes in red.
7. KOLIBRI starts monitoring the modes, for each
mode there is the equal number of single beeps,
the Mode-LED flashes in correspondence with
the beep number in green.
8.
After 7 single beeps mode 7 is reached, slide
the throttle stick to full throttle position (100%).
9.
The red LED changes to green and the ESC
confirms first the throttle position with an
ascending triad of sounds, then the mode with
7 single beeps.
7.7 Mode - 8
Telemetry Port 1
The KOLIBRI ESC’s have got internal TelMe
modules to show all telemetry values on your
transmitter. So, no further interface unit is needed.
You can choose between 6 different telemetry
protocols which are shown in the following table.
With Mode 8 you can select the protocol you need
(e.g. Futaba).
Mode 8 is
can be used at all KOLIBRI ESC’s.
Please use the sensor port at the front side of the
ESC for Modus 8. The sensor port at the side of the
KOLIBRI 140 LV-I / HV-I will be activated by Mode
9!
Connect the sensor port of the ESC with the sensor
port of your receiver by using the enclosed cable.
Please make sure that your receiver is programmed
accordingly (see receivers manual).
