Software Description
Software on the CP6940 includes the following parts:
•
Bootloader
•
initrd (including rootFS, kernel)
•
Application software (FASTPATH switching SW)
•
IPMI Firmware
The Software accomplishes operation of the switching hardware and is therefore also referenced as firmware. It is pre-
installed on the system and can only be updated by a dedicated update procedure. This manual describes bootloader,
Linux rootfs/kernel and IPMI firmware, last chapter introduces the update procedures.
