When the Message “Misfeed detected.” Appears

Locations of Paper Misfeeds

A flashing “O” indicates the location of the paper misfeed. In addition, a lit “O” 
indicates areas where paper may have been misfed and that should be checked.
(As an example, the following illustration shows a paper jam that occurred in a 
paper drawer.)

The procedure for clearing misfed paper differs depending on where the misfeed 
occurs. Determine the misfeed location by looking at the illustration displayed with 
the error message, and then clear the misfeed according to the appropriate 
procedure.

Locations of Paper Misfeeds in the Enlarge Display Mode

If a paper misfeed occurs while the Enlarge Display mode is being used, the 
message shown in the following illustration appears.
