Service and maintenance:
All service, maintenance and repairs should be per-
formed by qualified or trained personnel.
The rotor is equipped with replaceable rubber blades
and plastic edges. The rubber blades run close to the
separators housing, and will be worn over time. The
lifetime of the blades are dependent of the conveyed
material. When the rubber blades are worn, air will slip
past the rotor, thereby hampering the materials from
falling out of the separator. When the capacity has be-
come low, the rubber blades needs replacement.
Always switch off the separator before any service or
repairs are done, and assure that it can not be started
accidently.
Replacement are done by raising the separators upper
part, see section "Operation". The rubber blades can
be renewed by loosening the M8 screws and removing
the steel plates. Pay special attention to, that the rub-
ber blades at the ends of the rotor are correctly pressed
against the separators housing, and that the blades
chamfering is correctly positioned relative to the rota-
tional direction.
If plastic edges are worn, they can be adjusted against
the rubber blades, by tightening the adjustment screws
on the plastic edges steel rails. The edges shall be
even with the inner side of the rotor housing, and the
rubber blades shall touch the plastic edges. At adjust-
ment, the short edges at the rotor ends must be loos-
ened before the longitudinal edge is adjusted. All edges
can be adjusted inwards until the fixation screw heads
reaches the rubber blades. Remember to tighten the
locknuts on the adjustment screws.
When replacing rubber blades and plastic edges,
always use original Kongskilde spare parts, see the
spare part list.
The flanged bearings are lubricated with a grease gun
every 1.000 running hours, with a good quality ball
bearing grease, like SKF LGMT 2.
Check the oil level in the gear on a regular basis.
Oil is changed for each max. 10.000 hours, latest after
two years in use.
Specifically for ATEX versions:
• The explosion relief valve should be visually in-
spected annually and after each release as de-
scribed in the enclosed documentation. It is very
important that the valve is kept in trouble free con-
dition, as this is an essential safety feature. Hence,
