2.12. Sound attenuator section
Where a ventilated room is subject to extremely high de-
mands on noise levels, UAB KOMFOVENT makes ven-
tilation units with integrated noise suppression sections.
The housing of sound suppression sections is the
same as in ventilation units – with full insulation and a
high level of noise suppression.
The suppression section is equipped with partitions
filled with noise absorbing loose mineral wool panels,
which are overlaid with a thin layer of polypropylene
fibers (to prevent dust), and perforated galvanized
steel sheets.
Partition number and size depends on the require-
ments of the noise reduction level.
2.13. Humidification section
Low-pressure steam humidifier or adiabatic humidifier
can be used.
Air humidification with low pressure water steam is
cost-effective, hygienic and highly accurate method
of air humidification. Related air humidity may be up
to 90%. The humidification section is equipped with a
stainless steel bath and a drain pipe.
There are 2 possible types of the adiabatic humidi-
fier :
– by spraying water;
– using a porous material.
Downstream the humidifier, moisture in the air remains
only in the form of steam. The special design of the
device does not allow water droplets to pass – each
humidification section is equipped with polypropylene
drop catchers.
Water is removed through a stainless steel drain tray
and a copper pipe.

For hygienic purposes, it is advisable to provide the
automatic periodic flushing function of the humidifica-
tion section. During section flushing air is not supplied
to the ventilation system. After washing, water is comp-
letely drained from the drain bath.
For air humidification with water, the must
have a water preparation system!
