The information in this manual assumes that:
1 - personnel who work on/service the engine are adequately trained and duly equipped to safely and professionally perform the
necessary operations;
2 - personnel who work on/service the engine have adequate manual skills and the special tools to safely and professionally
perform the necessary operations;
3 - personnel who work on/service the engine have read and understood the information regarding the service operations to be
performed.
General Service Notes
1 - Only use original spare parts. The use of non-original spare parts may affect engine performance or reduce its service life.
2 - In this manual, the metric system of measurement is used. Dimensions are given in millimetres (mm), torque is given in
Newton-meters (Nm), weight is given in kilograms (kg), volume is given in litres or cubic centimetres (cc), and pressure is
given in barometric units (bar).
Warranty
Valdinoci Luigi S.p.A Valdinoci Luigi S.p.A warrants its products to be free from defects or non-conformities for a period of 24
months from the date of delivery to the first final user.
For engines installed on stationary units (used at constant load and/or slightly variable speed within the setting limits), warranty
is granted for a maximum period of 2000 service hours if the 24-month warranty period has not been exceeded.
If no hour-meter is fitted, 12 hours per day will be considered a working day.
For parts subject to wear and tear (injection/fuel system, electrical system, cooling system, sealing parts, hoses, belts), warranty
is granted for a maximum period of 2000 service hours if the 24-month warranty period has not been exceeded.
For proper maintenance and periodic replacement of these parts, follow the instructions in the manual provided with each engine.
Due to the technical characteristics of the product, in order for the warranty to be valid, the engine must only be installed by
qualified personnel.
For special applications that call for significant changes to the cooling, lubrication (e.g., dry sump system), supercharging or
filtration circuits, the warranty terms and conditions agreed in writing by the parties shall apply.
The manufacturer Valdinoci Luigi S.p.A undertakes to make good by repair or replacement at its option, directly or through its
authorised service centres, any defect or non-conformity in the goods arising, in the manufacturer’s or its authorised representative’s
opinion, from faulty design, materials or workmanship which shall become apparent within the warranty period.
In no event shall the manufacturer be liable for incidental, consequential or other damages or losses resulting from the use or
loss of use of the engine.
Repair or replacement under warranty will not extend or revive the original applicable warranty period.
Valdinoci Luigi S.p.A liability set forth in the previous paragraphs shall cease to have effect in the following cases:
- if engines are not properly installed, thus affecting or altering proper operating parameters;
- if the power pack and the engine are not used and serviced according to the instructions provided in the relevant use and
maintenance manuals;
- if the engine seals are tampered with;
- if non-original spare parts are used;
- if the fuel and injection systems are damaged by unsuitable or polluted fuel;
- if the electrical systems fail due to components, connected to them, not provided or installed by Valdinoci Luigi S.p.A ;
- if the engines are repaired, dismantled or modified by workshops that have not been authorized by Valdinoci Luigi S.p.A .
Valdinoci Luigi S.p.A obligations and liability under this warranty shall cease to have effect at the end of the two-year warranty
period or after the number of hours specified above.
Any warranty claims for product non-conformities must be addressed to Valdinoci Luigi S.p.A service centres.
