8. Insert a new pin ( E ) and drive it in 0÷1 mm from the
flat part of the support.
9. Reassemble the rocker arm assembly in the cylinder
head (see “Assembling the rocker arms”).
6.3.3 Checking and replacing the camshaft
In order to carry out a control of the camshaft, it is
necessary to disassemble it from the cylinder head.
See “Disassembling the camshaft” for the correct
procedure.
1. Using a dial indicator, measure the diameters of the
seats ( Ø X ) and, with a micrometer, find out the
diameters of the camshaft ( Ø Y ) (see “Table of
camshaft dimensions”).
If the diameters do not correspond to the values shown,
replace the camshaft with an original spare.
