Close the exit door.

•

When you close the exit door, close it securely until the door is locked. Do not slam the exit
door.

Changing the Background Color with the Flatbed Sheet

To provide a background color, the flatbed sheet is black on one side and white on the reverse side. The
flatbed sheet color is initially set to black. You can set the color to white or black. To change the color of the
flatbed sheet, perform the following procedure:

Press the power switch to the OFF position.

Raise the feeder tray in the direction of the arrow. The feeder tray will click into place in the upright
position.

Open the document cover in the direction of the arrow.
