4.14.2 Operating cooling device
The cooling device is a stand-alone system fully controlled and
supervised by internal automation. For this reason it does not
require any additional intervention. All service work should
be carried out by qualified and certified personnel. However,
service may reduce the potential for failure by carefully moni-
toring the operation of the unit.
The basic parameter to pay attention to is the amount and
parameters of air flowing through the cooling system ex-
changers. The flow control should ensure the minimum air
quantities
• Ensure that the air filters are in good condition. Their pol-
lution can cause significant drops in airflow.
• Observation of the cooling system may be limited to
checking the pressure ranges during system operation.
• A visual assessment of the condition of the cooling sys-
tem should be made once every 3 months. The presence
of oily spots on the pipeline may indicate a leakage of
refrigerant from the system. If an oily area is found, wipe
it dry. If oil is found again, it indicates a leak.
4.14.3 Automation of cooling systems
Application of the cooling system automation causes the sys-
tem to be separated into three independent switchboards:
• Ventilation system switchboards (supplied by Klimor
only in case of ordering full delivery of automation)
• cooling system control panel
• power module for cooling systems
For detailed information, refer to the „Control Panel for
Cooling Systems” OMM and the „Cooling Systems Supply Mo-
dule” OMM.
5. SCOPE OF DELIVERY AND COMPONENTS
The scope of delivery includes:
• individual sets of units (after tests, disassembled and
packed for transport),
• a Quality Control Certificate with attached labels of the
elements to be received,
• operating and maintenance manual,
• spare parts on request.
6. LIST OF SPARE PARTS
6.1 Spare parts for filters:
Pre- and secondary filters must be ordered in accordance
with the unit’s KT Quality Control Certificate and the filter
dimension tables.
Appropriate parameters of cooling oil operation
are necessary for compressor operation. The-
refore, before the first start-up and after each
prolonged standstill of the entire unit (when the
switchboard is not powered) the switchboard
should be switched on and the cooling system
should not be allowed to start. This will cause the
compressor heating belt to be switched on and
the oil to heat up. Warm-up time: 8h, is sufficient
to obtain the correct oil parameters.
The cooling system must be inspected with
the compressors and fans switched off. The
temperature of pipelines directly behind the
compressor may exceed 100°C during opera-
tion. Therefore, special care should be taken
when inspecting the cooling system.
Due to the separation of the ventilation and
power switchboard of the cooling system, an
additional supply line should be led to the unit
to the cooling system power module.
