1 .5 .5 Warning Risk of Fire

Do not place flammable or combustible materials near the projector! Create an
“exclusion zone”, which must be greater than 40 cm (16”) on all sides of DCP cinema
projectors, not less. The exclusion zone on the lens side must be at least 5 m (200”).

Do not cover the projector or the lens with any material while the projector is in
operation.
S
Install the projector in a well ventilated area away from sources of ignition and out of
direct sunlight.
S
In the event of fire, use sand, CO
2
, or dry powder fire extinguishers; never use water
on an electrical fire.
S
Always have service on this projector performed by Kinoton authorized service
personnel.

Make sure that nobody starts the projector while anyone is working on it.

Make sure that power is disconnected while anyone is working on projector.

Never ignite the xenon lamp by switching on the rectifier.
Directly use the DCP controls.

Never operate a defective system.
1 .5 .7 Electric Power Hazards

Work on the electrical supply conductors or circuits must only be done by competent
electricians.

The projector’s electrical parts and connections must be checked regularly. Any
loose connections must be tightened immediately.
S
The rear cover must always be kept closed. Only authorized staff may access the
rear area. Hazardous voltage and moving parts are in this area.
S
When working on electrical parts, switch off the main switch and disconnect power.
