Avoid using a wireless
LAN to establish the
network connection.
We recommend
shielded twisted
pair (STP) cable
for the LAN cable.
Be sure to install a UPS and
connect the shutdown signal to
the PC. Test Executive will
automatically shut down the
charge/discharge system safely in
a proper sequence in the event of
a sudden system down due to a
power failure or some other
reason once you have connected
the shutdown signal to the PC.
An ideal system shutdown in the
event of a power failure or sudden
system down (executed automatically)
PFX2731S turns off.

UPS keeps the PC running.

Test Executive detects a
communication error.
Ļ
Test Executive processes and
protects the files for the test
underway.
Ļ
After a few minutes, UPS sends a
shutdown signal to the PC.

The PC turns off.
Recommendations for a PC for
executing tests
- Disable the automatic sleep on PC.
- Change automatic Windows Update
to manual.
- Do not run other programs.
- Connect a UPS.
- Prepare another PC for checking
obtained data.
After the system setup is
complete, do not connect
the system to the Internet
or corporate LAN during
charge/discharge tests.
Install it in a place where changes in
the ambient temperature are small.
Note: The temperature rises at the
rear panel of PFX2731S or inside the
rack mounting equipment. Avoid
installing it near the rear panel of
PFX2731S or in the rack.
