
1. G E N E R A L
The FC-757 is a universal counter. It can be used to
measure frequencies (175MHz M a x . ) , period, frequency
r a t i o , t o t a l number, and time i n t e r v a l . E v e n t inputs
can be also counted w i t h the counter.
Channel A is an input channel terminated w i t h a
resistor of 1.2MO and used to measure the frequencies
between 5Hz and 175MHz, period and the t o t a l number
of event inputs.
Channel B is an input channel terminated w i t h a
resistor of 1.2MI2 and used to measure frequency r a t i o
and t i m e i n t e r v a l . T h e signals in the range f r o m
5Hz to 2 M H z can be input.
The FC-757 universal counter has an 8-digit high-
brightness L E D d i s p l a y . The highest display resolution
is 0.1Hz.
The FC-757 is a highly functional advanced universal
counter w i t h the f o l l o w i n g functions.
- Period measurement function
The period measurement function is used to measure
the period of each input s i g n a l . T h i s function would
output higher-precision measurement d a t a in r e l a t i v e l y
low frequency operation mode.
— T i m e measurement function
The t i m e measurement function is used to measure
the interval time between any t w o edges of
different t w o s i g n a l s , and between t w o 'single-shot'
pulse s i g n a l s .
- E v e n t Input t o t a l count measurement function
The event input t o t a l count measurement function
is used to measure the t o t a l number of event inputs
to the counter. T h i s function can be controlled
through panel operations or by inputting gate
signais e x t e r n a l l y .
In addition, the FC-757 universal counter has a
self-check function. W i t h t h i s check f u n c t i o n , m a j o r
measurement functions can be tested.
The display function supports a leading-zero blanking
and consists of many L E D s indicating a measurement
u n i t , gate a c t i v i t y and overflow occurrence.
The FC-757 m u l t i - f u n c t i o n a l counter has a high stable
c r y s t a l o s c i l l a t o r a s the time base clock generator.
Therefore, high accuracy measurement is not adversely
affected by f l u c t u a t i o n s in temperature and power
supply voltage.
