(3) Select a desired measurement unit w i t h display

If the s w i t c h is pressed ( J " - ) , measurement
output w i l l be displayed in M H z / m s .
If pressed again ( . • _ ) , it w i l l be displayed in
kHz/j«s. In either case, the associated L E D
( k H z / ^ s L E D ® or M H z / m s L E D ® ) w i l l
become a c t i v e .
If the k H z / ^ s L E D turns on, input signals
are measured in microseconds.
If the M H z / m s L E D turns on, input signals
are measured in milliseconds.
(4) Select a desired display resolution value w i t h
G A T E s w i t c h © . T h i s G A T E s w i t c h is used
to specify the number of cycles per period
measurement. A s already explained, the f i n a l
cycle time output is the average of a l l the
cycle t i m e s . The display resolution L E D s
( f r o m the left) indicates 1, 10, 100 and 1000.
The average cycle t i m e of a l l the period
measured is output to D i s p l a y © .
G A T E L E D (2) blinks during the period
measurement.
The measurement value on the display w i l l
be updated a t the moment when one cycle
measurement is complete (when the G A T E
L E D turns o f f ) . The G A T E L E D blinking
may not be confirmed w i t h ease because it
gets too f a s t due to high-frequency signal
measurement.
Note : The measurement m a y be delayed or
the output value display m a y be
unstable. In t h i s case, refer to section
5 - 6 ' D i s p l a y D e s c r i p t i o n ' .
(5) If H O L D s w i t c h © is turned on during period
measurement, the current measurement value
on the D i s p l a y is held as it i s . If it is
turned off, a new measurement cycle w i l l be
s t a r t e d . However, the measurement value
currently being displayed w i l l remain unchanged
until the new measurement cycle is complete.
