NOTE: EX4500 switches that have the label VIRTUAL CHASSIS on the front panel support DCB
(also known as CEE).
NOTE: Uplink modules, transceivers, Virtual Chassis cables, and Virtual Chassis cable connector
retainers are not part of the EX4500 switch’s shipping configuration. If you want to purchase
any of these, or additional power supplies for your switch, you must order them separately.
CAUTION: Mixing different types (AC and DC) of power supplies or power supplies
with front-to-back and back-to-front airflow in the same chassis is not supported.
Identifying EX4500 Switch Models
Purpose
Identify the model number of your EX4500 switch.
Action
Check the value of the Routing Engine (FRU Model Number) field in the output of the show chassis
hardware extensive CLI command.
