8.6.3 -Positioning of Depth Control Wheels
Considering that the depth control wheels are of extreme importance
for the planting success your EX2980 - Pantográfica has two adjustment
resources to know:
a) Positioning of wheel arm set in three positions, through the change
of spacing bush (“a” Fig.016), in other words:
In 01position, two bushes “a” are placed outside the arm, the crown
lip of the control wheel works close to the disc, auxiliaring in the earth
removal, that normally adhere to the disc.
In 02 position, one bush is placed inside and other outside of the arm,
the control wheel works 2,5 cm far from the disc.
In the 03 position, both bushes are placed inside the arm, the control
wheel works 5cm far from the disc
The 01,02 and 03 positions can be used in razon of factors as:
soil type, soil humidity, straw type, etc.

8.6.2 - Seed Depth Control
The seed depth control system can be individually done through the
auto - cleaner and independent depth control bands. The depth adjustment
is made by the gauntlet (“a”Fig.041), that displaces the articulated top (“b”
Fig.041)in several positions where the same hold the support arm of the
controller wheel, allowing that the
wells have independent and uniform
moviments on irregular soils. Place
all the sets with the sam e
adjustment.
In the beginning of the
operation and periodically during the
planting, we recommended to open
a passage in the planted row, in order
to verify the seed depth.
