Operator’s Manual

JM 2980 PD Pantográfica

5.8 - Fertilizer cover kit

The fertilizer cover kit consists basically of a system composed by

a fixation support to the fertilizer element (double disc or furrower) two covering
bands and regulator element. Its main function is to eliminate the spreading
formed by the fertilizer element (double disc or furrower), to correct the earth
removal, preparing the soil for that the seeder system executes withlarger
efficiency to the furrow opening and seed position.

JUMIL

has several optional cover kits for use in its line of planters .

To adopt them should be observed the following rules according to the model:

I -As general rule, with the use of the fertilizer cover kit for double

disc or furrower, is necessary to remove the protector of the seeder unit.

II – It does not have direct or left kit, however should be observed in

the assembly of the kit support to the double disc or furrower that, the
center of the cover kit should always be in the same center of the fertilizer
unit.

IIII – It is not recommended the use of the cover kit with large band for

double disc and furrower in smaller spacing than 550mm.

Fixed Cover kit in “V” for
Fertilizer.
Double Disc 27.32.900.

It is used in minimum spacing

of 400mm and 450mm in the wheel
row, and on the opposite side of the
chain, the fertilizer unit needs to be
dishevelled to 25mm from the seed
row. In spacing above 475mm, there
is not assembly restriction, observing
the rules I and II.
