OPERATION
Unpacking
Remove the appliance from the packaging. Remove all packaging material from the product. Place the
packaging material in the box and save this, or dispose of it in an appropriate manner.
Before assembly
Save all packaging material until you have counted and checked all the parts, as well as the
contents of the pack of mounting pieces.
The pack of mounting pieces contains small parts that must be kept out of the reach of young
children.
We recommend that you place the contents of the pack of mounting pieces in a jar or other
container to prevent small parts getting lost.
Installation (see fig. 1
–4)
Do not connect the appliance until it is correctly installed on the wall and you have read the
instructions.
Always observe the specified minimum distances.
Be careful not to damage concealed cables in the walls during installation.
Be careful when drilling.
The appliance is designed for permanent installation on a wall at least 300 mm above the floor. The
wall bracket must be installed horizontally and the power cord routed to the decorative fire’s lower
right-hand corner.
The bottom of the decorative fire should be located at least 600 mm from the floor in order for the
simulated fire to be optimally visible. The recommended installation dimensions are shown in fig. 2.
For optimum visibility, mark out the position of the four upper screws on the wall according to the
recommended installation dimensions (see fig. 2). Drill the holes with a suitable drill.
Install the wall bracket with the screws and plugs supplied.
Carefully lift the decorative fire and hook the strip at the top on the rear onto the middle of the wall
bracket (see the circle in fig. 2).
Carefully lower the decorative fire so that it is flush with the wall.
Mark out the lower holes (fig. 3). Check that the lower mounting bracket is raised and lift down the
decorative fire.
Drill the holes and insert plugs.
Hang the decorative fire on the wall bracket again and fold down the lower mounting bracket.
Screw the decorative fire in place with the screws supplied.
Unpack the small stones and place them in the desired position along the light unit.
Place the front glass in front of the fire and align the grooves in the edges of the glass panel with
the pins on the sides of the decorative fire (see fig. 4). Two people are required to do this.
Bulb replacement (fig. 5 and 6)
NOTE:
Always unplug the power cord before removing the bulbs.
The bulbs become hot during operation. Turn off the unit and allow the bulbs to cool before replacing
them.
We recommend that you lift the fire down from the wall and lay it on its back when replacing bulbs.
1.
Carefully push the glass towards the upper edge of the decorative fire and then remove it. Place
the glass in a safe place to prevent damage.
2.
Remove the crosshead screws holding the cover over the bulbs at the bottom of the decorative fire
(see fig. 5).
3.
Carefully move the swivel unit to the side in order to access the lower bulbs. Take care not to lose
the rubber seal (see fig. 6).
4.
Unscrew the defective bulb.
5.
Insert a new bulb, 40 W E14. Do not screw in the bulb too firmly.
6.
Move the swivel unit back into place. The rubber seal must be in the hole in the shaft holder.
7.
Hang the decorative fire back on the wall and replace the glass on the pins at the sides.
