SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Read the Operating Instructions carefully before use!
Save these Operating Instructions for future reference.
Always take basic safety precautions when using electrical equipment to safeguard against the risk
of fire, electric shock and personal injury.
The decorative fire may only be connected to an alternating current network with the voltage
specified on the fire’s type plate.
Do not start the appliance until it has been correctly installed as instructed in this manual.
The decorative fire must not be installed immediately below a power outlet.
The decorative fire must be at least 1 metre from furniture, curtains and other flammable material.
Make sure that children are kept away from the appliance. Do not let children operate the
appliance.
The appliance is intended for household use and must not be used for industrial purposes.
Regularly check the power cord for damage. Never use the appliance if the power cord or any part
of the appliance has visible damage.
Do not use the appliance if the power cord or plug is damaged, if the appliance is not working
normally, if it has fallen over or if the appliance is damaged in any other way.
Repairs may only be carried out by a qualified electrician.
Improper repairs can result in serious personal injury or death.
Do not route the power cord under carpets or similar.
Do not allow the cord to hang over sharp edges or to touch hot surfaces.
WARNING:
Do not cover or screen off the decorative fire in any way. This can result in
overheating.
The appliance will overheat if it is covered by mistake.
Never immerse the product in water or any other liquids.
Do not use the decorative fire close to baths, showers or swimming pools.
Do not use the appliance outdoors.
Do not touch the appliance with wet hands.
Do not use the appliance on or close to hot surfaces.
Do not use the appliance if the power cord is damaged.
Before cleaning the appliance, you must always check that the power cord is disconnected and that
the appliance has completely cooled.
Do not clean with abrasive chemicals.
Never use accessories that are not recommended or supplied by the manufacturer. This can
damage the appliance or pose a risk of injury.
The bulbs are the only component that the user can replace. No other parts may be replaced by
the user. All other servicing must be performed by a qualified technician.
The appliance is not intended to be used by persons (including children) with any form of disability
or by persons who do not have sufficient experience or knowledge of how to use it, unless they
have received instructions concerning the use of the appliance from someone who is responsible
for their safety.
Children must be supervised to make sure they do not play with the appliance.
Do not lift the appliance by the front panel.
IMPORTANT:
To prevent the overheat protection being accidentally reset, the appliance must not
be supplied with power via a cable that is equipped with an external switch, e.g. a timer, or be
connected to a circuit that is regularly switched on and off centrally.
