NION Components

The following diagram displays components included and required to install a NION-16C48M on
the network. All of these items must be ordered separately.

16C48MTB Terminal Boards
Each NION supports two
terminal boards which mount
directly on the motherboard
with standoffs. These
boards provide terminal
connections to monitored
equipment.

NION-16C48M

NION-16C48M motherboard
The NION motherboard contains all
relays LEDs, CPU, configuration
jumpers, network interface, firmware and
terminal board connections.

NISCAB-3
The NION-16C48M
mounts in a locking
cabinet with a Lexan
dress plate.

UL Listed Power Supply
16C48M requires 800mA @ +24 VDC.

SMX network transceiver
One SMX transceiver daughterboard is required
for local network connection. Four styles are
available for different topologies and media.
This daughterboard mounts on the motherboard

Transformer
assembly
One 4000TAR,

Batteries
The cabinet provides
space for 12AH
batteries. To use
17AH capacity
