ASSEMBLY / STARTING UP

First check whether all parts have been supplied. Refer to the
overview in the left foldout page of this brochure.

1.

Turn the bed on its side.

2.

Fit the legs to the corner attachments on the lower frame

(see illust. 1).

3.

Fasten the foot board using the four bolts that are already

attached to the foot end of the bed. Also screw the two wood
screws supplied into the foot board. In the case of 210 cm
beds, use the separate attachment points and the four bolts
supplied as well as the two wood screws

(see illustration 2a and 2b).

4.

Open the cover of the battery holder on the motor, remove

the plastic from the 9V batteries and connect these to the
 motor

(illustration 4)

5.

Connect the electricity cable to the motor and put the bed back

  on its legs.

6.

Attach the sidebar using two screws at a distance of

approximately 80 cm from the head end. Screw into the inside
of the lower frame. In the case of double beds, no side bar
should be fitted between the beds

(see illustration 3)

7.

Lay the mattress and the mattress topper on the bed. Pull

material over the side bars and the foot board

(illustration. 5)

.

8.

Then insert the plug into the socket.

9.

The motor and the remote control have been set at the factory.

The settings may be lost if there is a power cut for any
considerable length of time. Refer to the next paragraph for
information on how to adjust the settings of the remote control.

SETTING THE REMOTE CONTROL FOR ONE BED, OR FOR

THE SIMULTANEOUS OPERATION OF TWO BEDS

1.

Press buttons 1 and 2 simultaneously until the lights start

flashing quickly. The remote control is now in the setting mode.

2.

Hold the remote control next to the motor of the bed that you

want to operate and press any button until the bed moves.
If you want to control two beds at the same time using a single
remote control, you should repeat the process for bed 2.

3.

You can exit the setting mode by briefly pressing buttons 1

and 2, after which the lamps will go out. You can now operate
  the bed(s).

4.

If you want to revert to operating just one bed, repeat the

  above steps.

ELECTRICAL DATA

Power supply: 230 V AC 50/60 Hz.
Standby power: Max 0.5 W.

MEMORY

1.

Put the bed in the position you want to save.

2.

Press the M button until you notice the bed moving up and down. Your

preferred position will now have been saved to the memory.

3.

Pressing the M Button briefly will return the bed to the horizontal

 position.

4.

Briefly pressing the M button again will return the bed to the saved

 position.

MALFUNCTION

If you are unable to adjust the bed, proceed as follows:

Reset the remote control, see point 10 under ‘Assembly/Starting up’.

Check whether the plug has been inserted properly into the socket and

that it is connected to the power supply.

Check that there are batteries in the remote control. Replace the batteries

   if they have run out.

•

If necessary, remove the plug from the socket and repeat the procedure.

Do not open the motor, the electrical components or the remote control

yourself. The producer does not accept any liability if an unauthorised
person has opened the motor, or has tampered with the electrical
components or the remote control. New parts must be obtained from
   an authorised supplier.

NOISE LEVEL

A mechanical and electrically adjustable bed generates noise. The noise that
the bed makes may be reinforced by the acoustics of the room it is in.

EMERGENCY FUNCTION

In the event of a power failure, the bed can be moved to a horizontal posi-
tion by pressing button 2 (head end) and/or 4 (foot end) close to the bed
until it is again in an upright position. Replace the batteries in the motor after
this function has been used.

USAGE

The bed’s lifting motors are not designed for continuous usage. The bed will
only continue to be reliable and operate for a normal life if the motors do not
operate for longer than 2 minutes during a 15 minute period. If this limit is
exceeded, the life of the products will be reduced and the guarantee will no
longer apply.
The bed has been constructed in such a way that it can bear a maximum
weight of 150 kg, distributed equally over the entire surface of the bed, from
the head end to the foot end.
If you exceed these limits, the product will be damaged and the guarantee
will no longer apply. It is important that no-one is sitting on the head or foot
end of the bed while the bed is raised or is moving.

NB!

If used carelessly, items may become trapped by the bed’s moving

parts. You should therefore keep the remote control out of the

reach of children!
