Cleaning the Hook Area
Clean the hook area at least once a month.
1. Remove the needle and foot holder (refer to pages 28
and 30).
Remove the needle plate (refer to page 33).
Turn the power switch off and unplug the machine.
Take out the bobbin and bobbin holder.
(1) Bobbin holder
2. Clean the bobbin holder with a lint brush.
Wipe the bobbin holder both inside and outside with
a soft cloth.

3. Clean the feed dogs and auto thread cutter device
with the lint brush.

4. Clean the hook race with a soft cloth.

CAUTION:
• Do not store the machine in a high-humidity area,
near a heat radiator, or in direct sunlight. Store the
machine in cool dry place.
• Clean the outside of the machine with a soft cloth.
• Do not use chemical solvents.

5. Insert the bobbin holder so that the knob fits next to
the stopper in the hook race.
Attach the needle plate, foot holder and needle.
Insert the bobbin.

WARNING:

• Do not dismantle the machine in any way other than
