To edit a set, touch (click on) a set name to
highlight the row, then click the "Edit Set…"
button. Let's try doing this to take a look at
fixed-speed set FS1. We touch the name
FS1 to highlight it, and touch the "Edit
Set…" button to open the Edit Set display.
The parameters in the left-hand window control the appearance of the set model in the 3-D display on the
main screen. These are as follows:
•
Position relative to base motor –
The base motor height is the
position of the batten. The model
height is the height of the batten.
This setting adjusts the position of
the model height relative to the
base motor height (use a negative
number for the distance the set
extends below the batten, or a
positive number for something
extending above the batten).
•
Model width - represents the length
of the batten/set from stage left to
stage right end
•
Model depth - represents the width
of the batten/set from upstage to
downstage
•
Model height - represents the height of the batten and set in the vertical axis
•
Upstage - represents the distance that the (center) of the set is upstage of the proscenium / reference
line.
•
Stage -Right/+Left – represents the distance that the (center) of the set is with reference to the center line
of the stage, with the center line at 0, positive numbers going up toward Stage Left, and negative
numbers toward Stage Right.
This example shows a single-axis fixed-
speed unit. Variable-speed units have a
couple of additional parameter relating to the
set speed. These include:
•
Default velocity (per second) - sets the
default set speed when the unit is first
selected or enabled.
•
Default acceleration (in seconds) - sets
the default acceleration time when the
unit is first selected or enabled.

Default deceleration (in seconds) - sets
the default deceleration time when the
