Once the desired motors have been
selected, the operator pushes and holds
the GO UP (F2) or GO DOWN (F4)
function key to drive the selected
motors in the desired direction. Each
motor will move until it comes to its
motor limit, or until the operator stops
pushing the function key. (Note that the
GO TRGT (F8) button is not active while
on this page.)
Caution!
Operating in maintenance mode bypasses any show-specific soft limits. While motors will
observe motor limits, the motor limits are generally set prior to hanging scenery. If a set
has scenery hung on it, the motor limits will likely not prevent damage to the scenery.
Therefore, it is especially important to watch all moving pieces during a maintenance move,
and to stop the pieces prior to any collisions.
WARNING!
Operating in maintenance mode bypasses any motor grouping done to create sets. A set
may be made up of multiple motors to help share a load. It is possible to run these motors
independently in maintenance mode. If a common load is shared by multiple motors,
independent operation of the motors may result in damage and injury. Know what you are
moving before you move it!
Once all maintenance moves have been completed, the operator touches the EXIT key to leave this page. To
return to maintenance operations, the operator will have to re-boot the pendant to access the password page.
