Soft Limit - a point, defined within the control system software, beyond which an axis may not travel.
When an axis stops at a soft limit, it may travel in the opposite direction to leave the soft limit

Velocity - The speed of a set, expressed in distance per second (inches per second, meters per second).
Appendix I: Portable Pendant
FEATURES
One option for the Scenecontrol 500 is a portable control pendant, which may be used to operate individual
sets or to play back presets and cues. The pendant is equipped with a 10m (30’) cable, and is plugged into
designated pendant receptacles.
The features and controls of the portable
control pendant are as follows:
1. Speed control knob (variable-
speed systems only)
2. Emergency Stop button
3. Liquid Crystal Display (5.7” diag.

The main control system must be powered on in order to use the portable control pendant. When the
pendant is powering up, the following message screen will appear:
Once the system has completed its bootup routine, the word “BOOTING…”
will disappear, and the following will appear at the bottom of the screen:
