Integrated Peripherals
Main Section Functions
Configures the peripheral features integrated onto the
motherboard.
Default & Autodetected Settings
Everything on this screen is an optimized default. The
IDE transfer mode settings are autodetected. The system
will work with these defaults. The port settings are stan-
dard PC settings.
Setting Options & Constraints
You can disable onboard devices and change port set-
tings. If you install an IR port module, you have to set the
“COM2 Mode Select” line to the appropriate IR setting.
The last two items when you scroll to the bottom of the
list are “SCR Port Address” and “MS/SD Port Address”.
These enable and configure a Smartcard reader and a
Memory Stick™ or Secure Digital™ memory card reader
respectively. These devices must have different port ad-
dresses. If you will install either device, choose either
the 3E0 or 2E0 address. The other two options are al-
ready in use by the serial ports and shouldn’t be used
unless you disable the serial port that is using the ad-
dress you want to use.
