System Memory Sockets
Function: The RIMM system memory sockets are for in-
stalling DRDRAM system memory modules.
Description: There are four RIMM memory module sock-
ets on the motherboard. These sockets are for PC800 or
PC1066 ECC DRDRAM memory modules (RIMMs). The
sockets function independently, allowing a variety of
memory configurations up to a total of 2GB.

The four RIMM sockets
must be used in pairs:
J3 & J5
J4 & J6

Note:
The default memory speci-
fications are:
400MHz FSB use PC800
533MHz FSB use PC800
If you switch to PC1066
for the 533MHz FSB, you
have to manually set the
RDRAM Bus Frequency
configuration to X4 in the
IWILL Smart Setting sec-
tion of the Award BIOS
CMOS Setup Utility.
