Make sure the tubing forms a loop from the probe, back to the anchor as shown inFigure 41.
Gently tape the tube to the tip of the anchored finger, over the finger-nail (Figure 41).
The patient should be instructed to refrain from moving the fingers to the extent possible.
Both patients’ forearms should be supported on the arm supports . Make sure that the probes
are free from contact with any object (including the supporting surface), as shown inFigure
42.
