Checking the Engine Coolant Level
Check that the engine has cooled sufficiently,
and inspect the coolant level of the radiator sub-
tank or the reserve tank. The level is correct if it
is between the "MIN" and "MAX" lines. If the
engine coolant level is lower than the "MIN" line,
replenish it by filling up to the "MAX" line.
Also, check to make sure there are no leaks from
the radiator or radiator hose.
Check for stains or fluid on the ground where the vehicle is parked that would indicate
there is a leak. Contact your Isuzu Service when you discover leaks.
Adding Engine Coolant
When the engine coolant level is too low, open the cap on the radiator sub-tank or the
reserve tank and fill the tank almost to the "MAX" line with a solution of water and
engine coolant at an appropriate concentration. Tighten the cap securely after the
engine coolant has been replenished.
Changing the Engine Coolant
Change the engine coolant according to the Maintenance Schedule.
When changing the engine coolant, also clean the radiator cap, radiator, intercooler
and engine coolant passages.
